holidays huh

Hmmm... Actually the holidays has already almost flown into non-existance... not like it was existant before. So here i am posting with a... few months?... gap from my last post. I figured I'm not gonna finish posting about my trip to US so I'm gonna leave it at that. Yep. So i could have been doing my homework now but nooooo... Instead, i'm typing at my computer. Nice. Real nice. so i've only got my pile of homework left. No big. and i've got until tomorrow to finish it. Great. And I can't go to the movies with my old friends. So darn fine. So i can't see my old friends anymore. Mind you, they ARE my friends, not just acquiantances. Well, most of them anyway. Well... Back to me and my homework... I WOULD have been faser in getting my work doen if i had the thing to start it off with. However, the thing I had in mind was missing. Missing a few pages to be exact. Ok, ok... A lot of pages were missing! 33 pages. Well that's nice. So now i have to go to the bookshop and complain about the book. I hate complaining. It brings the otherwise happy world to a hatred-filled world. The Aunty will probably hate me for complaining about the book. The students in line after me will probably hate me for holding the line up. I will most certainly hate myself for complaining and causing so much hatred in the already hatred-filled place. I feel so depressed. I have work undone. I can't find anything to do except watch Ranma and i feel that i'm wasting my time if I'm watching something. At least if I'm playing, I would at least have a goal. I spent too much time watching Ranma 1/2 today anyway. It's like no end to watching it. Don't get me wrong. Ranma 1/2 isn't something i watch when I'm bored. It's a passion. Well, almost. Inuyasha on the other hand is something i watch when I'm really bored or if i have guests who want to watch it. But I'm not gonna watch the first episode of Inuyasha anymore. 2 times is enough. same for Ranma 1/2. I just don't like the repeat of 1st episodes. They sort of drive you crazy. Especially when they keep repeating the facts in the whole entire series. Charmaine is driving me crazy witih her W-inds obsession. I was obsessed with Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha. Now I'm rather obsessed with Fullmetal Alchemist. It's not those obsession that you keep asking your friends to listen to their music, or read their manga in this case. It's nice to be in something together. Like obsessing a certain anime or band together. It has the feeling of togetherness. It brings peopole closer. However, if only you take the interest and others pretend to like it, they won't like it when you keep ranting on about it. You should see their faces. It is selfish to make them sit through your incessant rants. You shouldn't be selfish. Like when someone falls, you should help them up. If they managed to sprain their ankle on that fall, you should know that thgey can't stand and if you've had experience with ankle sprains, you should be the one to support them physically to the sickbay or home. If you don't know anything about it, you should let an experienced person do the job. If nobody has had experience, put yourself in the casualty's shoes literally and think how you would want someone to help you. The basic thing is to get the person's legs straightened and hold it to a suitable height away from the ground. If you are just taking someone's injury as an excuse to walk back with the casualty, you are way selfish. Well... I almost completed a book this morning. Almost because it turns out that the book had a lot of pages missing. Argh! Pages missing again. So I've noticed that I have the ability to rattle on and on. Just not verbally. I can write or type something and end up with something completely different. I've just had too much experiences. And they say you are not experienced enough. I wonder how much I would experience when i grow up. I've met a lot of different people along the way. I've met people who did not let anyone have a chance and would not let me off a 1hour maths remedial to go to a NPCC course where only 20 people could go and I was one of them. Those are people who are not sympathetic, Mr Tan. There are people who are blur and make people frustrated with them, Charmaine. They say they want something lent to them and they forget ever asking for it the next day. There are people who are so cynical that they have to comment on everything they see, Jolin. They give sarcastic remarks whenever someone talks to them. There are people who act all lost-puppy in front of sympathetic people, Joyce. They want people to think that they are pitiful and in turn let them have everything. Then there are people who likes to criticise people when they've only done 1 thing wrong or offended him or her, me. However, the world isn't such a hopeless place. There are people who try to understand everything, Yi Ling. They listen to you and share their thoughts with you. They never talk bad about anyone even when you push them to. Even when they don't understand something, they force themselves to understand and put themselves in your shoes. There are people with exceptional memory and put it to good use. They remember what you say and do something for you. They remember that you like a certain band when they've only heard it once and when they come across something with the band on it, they buy it for your birthday present. They wouldn't say anything about the person you dislike in front of you. There are responsible people who does all the unfinished work before the deadline. They work all night just for the team and they manage to escape the wrath of the teacher or boss. There are people who shift all the blame to others. They get into a fight and when someone catches them, they say that the other party started it and make up lies that they were only trying to defend themselves. The rubbish people utter. If there were no lies, the world would be a more peaceful place. However, life would be a daily routine. Sure, there'd be no crimes, but poeple would be put in detention more often.

thinking abt US (SFO)

well... some of you know i went to the US for holiday... want to post... haha... so a lot of jet lag... but i dont think its jetlag leh... i only keep staring at the dinner beacuse i was VERY bored then... no one talks to me (i dont expect anyone to anyway... i would rather they don't) and my dad has to make up such a silly excuse as that i was having jetlag... that made me feel ever so weak... he was the one having jetlag... not me... ok... enough of the jet business... i feel disappointed on that trip... we had brazillian food on the first day... ok... not bad... at least it's south american food... ok... so we went to chinatown of san franisco on the second day... and surprise surprise... we had chinese food! 'hooray'... ok... never mind that... ya well... before that... we went to some ghiradelli square... says they make chocolates there... i actually saw a mustard factory... haha... couldn't have tour as it was thanksgiving... darn? anyway... if you havent noticed, we went to chinatown... ok... well saw a cd shop having a sale... a lot of ppl there... bustling... saw a lot of cds and vcds of anime... but no inuyasha... urgh... saw samurai x and wanted to buy... whole set... but too expensive considering it was shopping in US after all... saw posters of pokemon and clamp detectives and ranma... but left with the 'ugly' ones... so didn't buy... so we then went to the golden gate... pretty boring... it was still afternoon... didn't get on the bridge... took a lot of pictures and clips from the place opposite... a lot of ppl there too... saw the rock (alcatraz)... well... then we went to dad's friend(uncle daniel)'s house to have thanksgiving dinner... saw a REALLY... fat cat... haha... it was cute... but fierce... the dinner was darn bad... it was actually seafood steamboat cum turkey... i have no idea how they can finish a whole turkey with a seafood meal... if you know me well, you would know that i hate seafood... and the turkey tasted terrible... well... i fell asleep on the ride home... ok... day 2... went to downtown SFO... looked around fro viz communications for ranma... found the building but saw that the thing looked closed down... lots of gangsters... well... we went to niketown... darn place... considering the fact that i was wearing an adidas sweater... ok... got lost downtown... just because my dad thought that the person who directed us gave us the wrong address and decided to look at the map himself... believe me, i was fuming... because he kept scolding vulgarities at the person to me... believe me, i don't like ppl who keeps scolding vulgarities at someone who did nothing wrong... i felt we were on the right track... i told my dad... yes... but did he listen? noooooooooo... welll ok... we got the uncle to fetch us again... brought us to japan town and i saw kinokuniya... went in and saw inuyasha collectors guide thingie... bought that... actually saw the 3rd movie in the store... costs a bomb... $68.80 USD... ha... when i went back later, it was gone... i couldn't believe that someone would buy that for the amount they charge... well we had japanese buffet... (asian again) and went back... 3rd day... went for tour of SFO... saw coit tower, lombard street, the rock and all the high lows of SFO... believe me... it was really high lows... the streets were going up and down... i was almost scared half to death... well... we went back to golden gate again and this time we got on the bridge... learnt the history... well... we went to the same house again... saw the cat... same size... (thank goodness) and finally went to have a decent american meal... steak... House of Prime Ribs... they call that... had to wait in line... we waited and waited... i was falling asleep on the couch... finally someone went to check... seemed like they made a mistake and skipped us... darn them... well... the ribs was delicious... but the serving was too large... they had doggy bag service but my dad refused... that was stupid... we could have had it for breakfast... well... 4th day... were supposed to be driving to LA then... but dad's friend fell sick... so had to go to chinatown of all places to look for a bus that goes to LA... they had to find a vietnamese bus... well... whatever... we went to fisherman's wharf... nice place... had real cool shops... bought my san francisco sweater there... it was warm... at least i wont be shivering that much anymore... well... ate at fast food joint In-N-Out... had the best food ive had since i went to US... bought the sims 2 prima donna guide in EB games... real thick... 100% colour pages... (like buying a picture book? nah... had as much word as pictures... maybe more...) well... saw a lot of street performances... went to hard rock cafe... bought a bear... haha... add to my collection... and bought a pin too... add to collection again...

Spongebob

well... we... the spongebob group won the best cheer... fine and dandy... the camp was torture... i found out on the first day that it was a training camp... [ohhh... so that's why they call it ATC... 'cause it's Annual Training Camp... i get it...] well... as you can expect... we didn't live in a hotel... night one was in a classroom on the 3rd storey!!! 3RD STOREY!!! and the second night was in the tents in the field... out in the open... so the first day we had our jungle survival which was a bit slack... lunch was bad... we only had instant noodles to eat... darn that... we then got scolded and had around 5 minutes to clean up and bring all the things back to our bunks... then we continued the jungle survival... slack again... after that we had to go to clementi central for some 'treasure hunt' actually not treasure but heck... waht do they call it otherwise? anyway... we only managed to go to 3 places... that's weak... the finding the things in the supermarket was a killer... after that, we did some things...[i forgot] then we had dinner and went for night walk... darn scary... but that was the first part... when the instructors told us ghost stories... and so... we went to the first station... we sat at the table... kaisiang was beside me... he somehow found the station funny that he was laughing... [the person at the first station was yewseng...] so not very scary... haha... ok... so he laugh... then yewseng also laughed at some point of time... then we all laughed at them... ok... he told the storey and some NCO pretending to be a 'head-hunter' came out... we laughed as he was wearing white shoes... dead giveaway... we moverd to the next station and saw the 'headhunter' and kaisiang ran from the last person to the first... and after we finished the 2nd station, sunny 'fell out' from around the corner and kaisiang practically screamed his head off... that was funny... before we continued from the 3rd station, sunny said that he had never gotten that kind of response from anyone from any other group... and that kaisiang, who claimed to be the bravest screamed like a sissy... now that was funny... ok... we were then led around by several NCOs and the nightwalk ended... we had a scolding session from the CIs and HOs... we then had a water parade... had to fill all our bottles to the brim and finish all... luckily i didn't bring my water bottle down... we had to chare the water among ourselves... and i suspect i was the one who drank the most... almost everyone looked for me to drink the water... the junwen kept asking ppl who had trouble drinking water to look for me... darn... ok... we then went up to sleep... then at around 4am+, there was a fire drill... in the end we had to get punished... i didn't know how zhixin could sleep through the fire drill... we got punished because of that... around at least 50 pumpings... we then went up and washed up and went down to have PT before breakfast... well i gained a gastric pain and had to fall out... had stitch too... after we went back, we had to be punished... we had breakfast... measly biscuits... then we had games... captains ball... and woohoo... our group lost 3 matches... in the total of 3 matches... haha... but... those were the best games i have had in years... although we lost... except the match against the NCOs... that was because i didn't get a chance to touch the ball at all then... then we had lunch... then we went up to the 5th level to build our gateways and they had to be high enough for kiathow to go through... well... our gateway was the biggest and tallest... but not tied at the top... it really looked like a goal post... then we played tag... ran around in the hall... then we had drills... or was that before that? anyway... we did some things... [forgot yet again] then we had dinner... finally had rice... along with veggies and a drumstick and a nice fishball and hotdog... finally a decent meal... then we had campfire... we were all very enthusiastic... nice... had our performances... ok... then we went back and had a game with our shoes... haha... weird way of describing... we had to use our shoes to lay our a track for our blindfolded teammate...then after that lame game, we went to sleep... had to wake up at 12.45am for sentry duty... at 1.30am, some senior NCO called us back... he told us to tell our groupmates to go nack to the NP room... we called them back, just as we were setting off to find the other group mates, the sir/S NCO told us to fall in and not look for them... when sunny came back, we got scolded by him... i don't know why he was scolding us when it wasn't our fault... maybe we had a little communication problem or something... anyway... we went back to the tent to sleep... it was pouring for your information, we were sleeping at the side and had to sleep in a situp position, that was tiring... i kept waking up to see if we were ready to wake up... i couldn't take it... that time, i would have rather stayed awake than lay on my back in sit up position and feeling dizzy... the worst part was that it was pouring [not drizzling] for the whole night... when it was finally 4+ we had to wake up, i felt very very hungry... you couldn't blame me... we survived on 3! packet of instant noodles!!! for 10 people!!! and we had to have PT after washup... torture... as usual, i had to fall out and become casualty... i had a muscle ache after doing 50 pumpings, 50 crunches, 25 jumping jacks and 50 burpees... pure torture... we i fell out, i found it hard to breathe... i suspect that i was about to cry at my plight as i felt my throat become sore... anyway.. we waited for them to finish the next 100+ jumping jacks, 15 pumpings [boys knuckles, girls boy's style], 25 crunches and 25 burpees... then they went for the run... torture... they came back and we had to join them... they asked us to spread out and sqeeze... had to run as usual... mam liting asked us [casualties] to go back to the 'resting place'... then they had to carry out stuff and go back to the tentage(?) area... well... we had breakfast... had to scrape the black stuff from the fire from under the messtins(?)... [dad said those things are not good as in poisonous, cannot use for cooking] ok... we then had to clean up the place... we had to clean up the campfire area... real dirty work... after that, we had to get the washed ground sheets and the tent things dry... we 'invented' the flapping method... grabbing hold of the ends or the sheet and flapping it up and down... in the end, everyone copied out method and we got the sheets dry at long last... then we had to grab out bags and report strength for the final event... prize giving... that was the first time i reported strength for the entire camp... and i had to report it to mam yumei... and i had to be the one in front to receive the prize... darn... but it was really fun as no one was really scolded... we cheered for 'xiong', the flag from the nightwalk for the best flag... haha... we practically cheered fro the nightwalk things for almost everything... it was hilarious... everyone was in unison for the first time(?) [maybe] in the camp... haha... then we collect our valuables and interacted with our ICs and that's the end of the camp [finally]...

tic-tac-toe?

ok... this is pretty lame... so if you CANNOT take lame stuff... don't read this... i have warned you... ok... why i'm writing this is because i find this thing really funny... and lame... ok... you've been warned again... ok... so... me and ken played like 42 games... i think... or it could be 43... hmmm... whatever... ok... our way of tic tac toe... win means lose... pretty lame... but hey, at least it's not the same moves and counter-moves over and over again... thats pretty interesting... well... at first we were REALLY playing tic-tac-toe lah... but then he let me win until like 4 times then i let him win he doesnt want to win... then it becomes a mutual understanding that the rules were being changed... so on and on we played... trust me... that was better than the first 30+ rounds... then he had to go offline to watch inuyasha... so we played one last round... he said he will make me win... haha... and... well he lost... all due to my superior intellect... haha... and then ya... i have no idea how he can break his arm like that... i mean... he stepped on a soccer ball... said the ball was gay... haha... what a choice of words... my mum must think i'm mad to be laughing in the room... well it WAS funny you know... and he's one of the few guys in NP whom i don't hate... so i guess being a friend with him isn't that bad... although we all say he's a pervert... haha... which boy in 1/11 or the coming 2/11 isn't? haha...

promotion test

woah... today promotion test... finally? yesterday postpone until today... then yesterday stayed back to look at the sec 2s take their promotion test... pity them... cause yesterday the councillors meeting in the canteen and the teachers keep using the mic then the commander shout cannot hear... then they cannot do the drills together... but they only one tester... today we all 3 testers then all dressed in full u somemore... so formal... then ok lah... WOC not bad... at least they can hear... then the MOI very nervous... drill badge is the worst ah... 3rd class drill badge... they keep giving us marching drills... then we only learnt for around 2 parades only loh... then mam mistook it for right after the exams which is around 6 weeks... thats a huge difference loh... at least 42 days loh... then the march on the spot command i keep wanting to march out... darn... then berhenti i keep doing it wrongly... if i really get the drill badge then i'll be surprised ah... but i welcome the surprise lah... haha... as well as the lance corporal rank... well... if i don't get the lance corporal rank then i don't really think i'll be very happy... no joke about it... i doubt yu hui will pass her MOI though... too soft... and she forgot too many things... too tense or maybe she didn't prepare... oh well... what's done cannot be undone...

waliew pt like crap liddat

hah! today pt like crap (as mentioned above)... that sebastian take us huh! do 3 sets of 20... ya... i thought... hey! not bad! HOWEVER... he chose to take us to a 'higher level'... by having us do the sets without regular resting... like push ups for example... he chose to let us do 20 all at once... and only stop for a while when HE is tired... crap loh... then after sets is crutches or whatever... also like push ups... at least nicholas is better lah... like let us rest at regular intervals... like do 10 then rest then do another 5 then rest then do another 5 which amounts to 20... then he'll let us put our legs down... then rest for like 1 minute... then change to the jumping jacks... not like that sebastian loh... he think he from dance one must convert us to dance is it? then yee wei 'better' ah... he take us for the running run so fast one... want us to get out of breath is it? worse off, he run fast... then stop... then run fast again... then stop... stupid loh... how are we supposed to take running and stopping and beginning to run again? then THEY had to run up, down, around and around and around and around... and i mean that... you ppl should have seen the distance they ran... they like ran the whole school plus like around 10+ rounds around the netball court... i became casualty because of a stitch... sucks man... yeewei ask and i say stitch then he say, 'never do warm up properly lah!' waht the heck man... we didn't even do stretching of the stomach muscles!!! he say never do properly!!! is never do lah! he didn't do warm up is it? think of the only reason other than that its his fault and he say... i doubt he even thought of the fact that we didnt stretch the stomach muscles! crap him lah... hah! the casualties all from sec 1 this time and amounts to 12 casualties!!! all because of the running... heck man!

Inuyasha movie!!!

woah... so i've finally bought the inuyasha 2nd movie... wahaha... i feel like a million dollars!!! it was so cool!!! i mean... oh my... touching... haha... i am so glad that my dad let me buy it... haha... well it HAS been 3 months since i've been longing for it... well... the graphics is better than the tv series which has amazing graphics on its own... so that's not an improvement... it's a miracle that they can improve it... i mean... its already this good and you wont think that it can be improved any more... and then the movie comes and you are shocked to see that the graphics are improved to a level that is better than perfect... just a figure of speech but hey... i think its terrific... and the 4th movie is about to be out... in fact i think its already out in cinemas in japan today... hmmm or is it 28th or 23rd? hmmm... whatever... im content with this... that is... until the 4th movie comes to singapore... that is... haha...

dreams?

ok... so i don't exactly know waht is happening... i've been having similar dreams these 2 days... not such a long time... haha... but i osrt of enjoy those dreams... sure... it gets me tired... but hey... at least it takes place somewhere that's fun... dream 1: (ok... i have no idea why it's jumbled.. probably because my watch's alarm was on and it rang at 5.50am... real swell...) we were led by someone into the school hall (i don't really know if it's nh's or lp's) we were seated and well the performances started... behind me were ben(?) and jon(?)(why are they in my dreams?) anyway... where we were sitting suddenly became a pier and i was sitting beside the support of it... jon was directly behind me as we were sitting in 2s... i dont remember who i was sitting with...(either yeeping or yiling) i was almost falling asleep leaning on the support when someone nudged me from behind... i was furious(?)... then i remembered that someone wanted to change seats with me... she was behind ben... so i changed seats with her and her partner so i was directly behind jon... it was payback time... next, we were sort of given a break... i went to the toilet as i felt that there was sand in my mouth from the sand by the pier and saw stella(?) and felicia(?)... we talked... and i don't remember waht happened next... we were at some weird shopping centre where it looked like those old ones like maybe the old people's park? and the fulushou complex or something... ok... so i remember valerie, chi lung, nuraisah and amber there with me... we were about to leave that place when we saw ben(the channel U person)... i dont know why but we thought he was a chinese physician... so we chased after him... we went from first floor to 5th floor... when we were at the 3rd going to 4th floor, i freaked out because the escalator began to behave like those stairs in harry potter... it actually turned a full 360 degrees!!! ok... so we were at the 4th floor... we ran around searching for the clinic... we finally met at the lift... which was conveniently beside the directory... we looked at the directory and found some 'Bo Ling' clinic or something at level 5... so we waited for the lift... there was a crowd there... we could not all sqeeze in to the lift... so we waited for yet another... it was too long and i sugested going up the stairs... we saw some punks but since we were in a group it was not a big threat... we reached the 5th floor and waht was there? a gigantic arcade!!! it was so big... we went in and i followed chilung to some game as he was leading... when i looked back, there was no one following behind me... so i realised that they'd splitted... so i left him to his game and went to the other side of the arcade... it was such a long way... it made me tired just running halfway there... i passed by chandini, valerie, gong tuo, and kim hock... there i stopped and and sat down... i found myself sitting with some girl i knew but forgot who... so TKH there started talking crap since we had not seen each other for a long time... i couldnt believe it but i was still in my school uniform!!! how did i get into that place with my uniform on? but never mind that... something more ridiculous happened... mr choy... known for his surveys on asknlearn, i piece of paper appeared on our hands and he told us to do the survey... i was shocked as i hadnt even played with anything yet... how was i supposed to answer... so i came out of the chair i was sitting on and founf that there was some sort of roof on me... i struggled out of it and found that it was my blanket... haha... dream 2: we were just released from school (lps) and i was with my usual hairstyle at LPS with my short-but-can-tie hair up in a ponytail... we were walking to the back gate with valerie in between kenneth and me... she told us that she heard a song which she hummed... i knew it in a second... it was somewhere i belong by linkin park... she asked us who it was by and me and KL said linkin park immediately... i dont know why but i remembered that i once said that linkin park sucked to K and now im acting like this... i dont know why but i changed course and headed for the front gate when i saw my mom there and headed into my dad's car... i saw mr wong and mr low and they said i was breaking the school rules by having my hair tied up in a ponytail... (isn't that NH's school rules?) we arrived at some arcade... it was big... not as big as the one in the first dream but big... bigger than the e-zone in westmall... there were all sorts of games and i went around trying to find 'twinkle star sprites'... i passed by someone who had 'incredible' aims... he was so bad that when he tried to shoot a hoop, he managed to get the ball to rebound back and managed to almost hit me... and he was so fast(that or the machine was out of control) that i had to run to dodge them... i passed by kenneth (why's he there?) and went on my search... i found 3 games which had twinkle star sprites characters but it wasnt twinkle star sprites... it was some other game... so i went around looking... i found a boy playing some throw-the-pingpong-ball-into-the-hole game... he was such a terrible aimer too... i managed to catch hold of a long-shaped pingpong ball(?) and threw... of course i missed... i walked on by... my legs were tired form the walking cum running around looking for the game... i saw my mom and hurried to her... i wondered how she could have found me in such a big space... so we went to my dad's car and i woke up... swell... well they were so weird all involving some big arcade... and NH and LPS mixed together... i don't know waht to think... is it something to be afraid of or just some innocent dream that one should have every night? i guess i won't find out...

Concrete Angel

Concrete Angel

She walks to school with the lunch she packed
Nobody knows what she's holdin' back
Wearin' the same dress she wore yesterday
She hides the bruises with linen and lace

The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born

Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel

Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be too late

Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel

A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot

Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel

Ok... so i absolutely recommend this song to all you people... it's by Martina McBride... i think... i think she got an award for this song... well i can tell you she deserved it... or rather the song did... it's just absolutely beautiful... and touching... well... i sort of found this song reading the fanfiction 'Silent Screams'... well... my heart sort of goes out to those being abused and don't really know about it... so... people... take note... if there's something you ever heard about a child being abused, please... don't think of it as just nothing... they are people too you know... don't tell the person who is allegedly abusing them as that might do more harm to the child... i know through the fanfiction i read... and it's based on a true account... even if it isn't, it sounds logical enough... these things happen you know... sometimes you just come across them... sometimes you don't... so that's all i want to say for now... darn PT

wah... pt today really like torture... i was actually thinking taht maybe i liked pt yesterday night... but who was i kidding? it was really just pure torture!!! guess how many casualties there were for sec 1s today? 12!!! do you believe it???! now onto the details... whoo... first we had warm ups... no sweat. then came the sets... that was actually not that hard... except for the fact that we had to do 4 sets instead of the normal 3! waht a bummer! first were the push ups... 15 push ups... crunches... 20 crunches... scissors cross... 15 scissors cross... jumping jacks... 30 jumping jacks... so... not bad... if we only had to do 1 set... but we had to repeat it 4 times!!! 4 times!!! ok... so i survived that one... but guess what? we had to run around the school 3 times!!! ok... so i became a casualty after the first round because of a stitch... i would have comtinued slower... but there was some brainless nco who was shouting at us!!! 'aye! run lah! stull dare to walk???!' that ruined my chance to try to run another lap... so i stopped and joined the casualties... i mean, they were supposed to encourage us when we didnt have the willpower to run any further... not rage us!!! so... ok... pt done... and we were all left with that painful memory... i still am sore all over, mind you. so we had to run to 1/10 classroom to put our bags after our 5 minute break... ok... hurts but i can take it... we ran back to the parade square... fell in... and guess what... we had to run back to 1/10 classroom to get our uniform to change into half-u... not really very bad... so we ran back to 1/10 classroom... we had to for some long time until they were all ready... we asked for permission... we went in and ran out to the area behind 1/12 classroom... too bad... we took 24 minutes to change into half-u!!! we were shocked... so we had to change to pt kit again... realllllll.. niceeeeee... not! so we changed and went back 15secs after the time limit... not bad... no punishment, yet... so when we fell in... some idiot had to say that the parade sucked...so we had to do some 20 'nice' pumpings... then we had to change to half-u once again... pretty much a routine now... so we changed... couldnt walk to the toilet... we had to run... so i had to hurt all over more... and so... once again... we were outside classroom 1/10... we finally were 3 minutes late... yippee... not! so we owed the corporal 180 pumpings... we girls had more reasons... reduces to 60... because of the time we had to wait to get into the room... to run to the toilet... to run back... to get into the room... to execute kekanan lurus... to sediah... haha... so we learnt marching... had to march on the spot for what seemed like eternity... so we had to change to pt kit again for campcraft... darn it... we realllllly had a hard time learning how to tie the sheepshank or something... the stupid person kept teaching us how to tie it on one side but iddnt complete it... so when we tied the one side... we didnt know if we did it correctly or not... it was after he taught us how to tie it the '3 loops' way when he taught us how to tie the other side of the knot... he was obviously not teacher material... that wasnt really that bad... at least we had the chance to enjoy the nice floor with our bums and not our feet... dismissal was really looked forward to... it was the most pleasant part of the entire parade... altough we did have to stand in the sun to wait for mrs lee to get to us and tell us about teh good news... i was starving when we were really dismissed.. but unfortunately, we had to wait for the lance to hand us our valuables before i could buy things to eat... great... just great... i was having gastric then too... so i had to get to stella when she was talking to sunny to beg her to hand over my valuables... woah... the best part of my day was that i got to sleep for 6 hours in the afternooon after the parade... 3.30pm to 7.30pm... great going...

young leaders' day

well... today we went to some young leaders' day event at singapore poly... speakers were motivational, movie clips were motivational as well as entertaining... haha... one of the speakers, dr andrew goh was the greatest speaker among all of them... he made us laugh and feel better about ourselves... probably because he was quite a professional speaker... haha... he told us a joke(not true story)... it went...chairman mao of china was meeting president nickson. now, chairman mao knew that when president nickson left a country, it will be under america. so he thought very hard. and he got an idea. if he could learn how to speak one sentence of english, he could stun president nickson as he was sure he could not learn a sentence of chinese. so he asked his assistants to teach him how to speak a sentence of english. his assistance thought that he was so old that it would take up too much time. but the boss is alwasy the boss. so they taught him one simple sentence. 'how are you'. so chairman mao went to practice it. when he mastered it, he thought,'if i could learn that, i could learn another sentence.' so he asked his assistants to teach him another sentence. they taught him yet another simple sentence. how do you do. finally the day came when they would shake hands and it would be on the world news. when chairman mao shook hands with president nickson, he was so excited that he said 'who are you?'. president nickson was shocked. chairman mao then said,'what do you do?'of course, like i said, thats not a true account or anything... that was just meant as a joke... for anyone offended in any way... i apologise... one more thing dr andrew goh said, he asked us to repeat it after him... In the end, it will be OK. If it's not OK, it's not the end.

siblinghood?

well, today i invited charmaine, vivian, yan bing and yi ling over for a movie marathon... it went rather well except for the food... pizza was far too much fro us... we did not finish it as you guessed... i have invited them over for the 2nd time this year. i finally have tquite the answer for this. i feel in 'need' of siblings sometimes... it's not like i really wish for siblings as from what i've heard, they can be quite a problem sometimes. however, i feel that sometimes, they can be fun to be with even though they wreck your toys and disrupt peace like you all say. most of the time, i do feel the joy of not having a sibling barging in to your room and bugging you when your doing something important or not so important for that matter. i can do without them as my mum does that --the barging in, not really the bugging-- sometimes. i don't have to share a room with them. i don't have to fight for my parents' whatever. i don't even have to fight to get money in that case! i just open my mouth and ask. if they agree, no one would want something that's the same from the same father and mother (less wastage). if they don't agree, too bad then. to all of you reading out there, i mean no offence towards people who have siblings or don't... please don't take my opinion wrongly... i am here to write about this things as i prefer to think of my blog as a diary where not a lot of closed ones get to see anything while the further ones get to as most of you out there don't know me... neither do i possibly know you... i just like for this chance to tell all of you i would wish for world peace... it's not just meant as a saying because everyone says that, but rather in a more serious way... the world's peace affects everything. world's peace affects the rate of divorce, the birth rate, the death rate. whether enemies are made, whether wars occur. if everyone could just settle their disputes in the more peaceful manner, the world would be a better place. of course then, the lawyers and judges would be out of job. but think of it this way, so what if they were out of job? surely with world peace, people would not be so selfish. people will offer their things to the less fortunate. if everybody were to be friends and there were no enemies between people, there would surely be no war. not only would the stocks rise, the world would also be a richer place. people would be sharing their riches and we will all be able to indulge in luxury together. however, maybe this might be wishing for too much... people might say we have our differences as we are unique. differences means fight. fight means no world peace. however, which one do you think is better? a world with world peace that is luxurious or a world of killing with suffering? make a choice... world peace is better, i tell you.

hiking trip to west coast park

wah today hiking to the west coast park veyr tiring ah... walk walk wlak for dont know how long one ah... from school to aroung new nus high school campus, then cross the expressway... then walk the whole way along the perimeter of nus campus ah... mad man... then we walk nearly all the way to the port there... turn and saw some houses... gto one dog there kept barking at us when we passed by... i thought it was a bird with sore throat or something... but it turned out to be a small, white dog... no, not cute... then finally we saw west coast park... waited at the traffic light... wait until the green light came on but no green man... realised that they didnt push the thingie(button?)... waited... still no one push... expected a non-green man again... i was right... then theyy realised that they hadnt pushed the thing... this time... 'learning their mistakes', they pushed the thing... not only one but 5 people, 5 times... finally we crossed but we left the other groups behind... had to wait for them... had to do PT... i thought they promised us games day for one whole day? not like last time half day PT half day games...? had PT but felt the liquid in my stomach 'slosh' around during sit ups... not a good sign... had to run to the stage 'nearby' as we were not high enough... did 2nd set... then same feeling when it came to sit ups again... then had to run... realised that my throat was too dry and had to fall out... was feeling ready to puke any moment... not good... while i sat with the medics(joanna & kiat how) and bag manager(wei teng) and another casualty(fiona), the others were having fun in the obstacle course... too bad... you win some, you lose some... other casualties came and it became crowded... saw some silky terrier or something without a leash jumping around with owners behind it... stupid pup... some kid about 3 years old(noticed he was a kite-flying expert) cmae by with his beagle... the terrier chased after the beagle and they jumped around and we laugh... very rude, yes... they chased each other in circles... can you refrain from laughing when you see two small doggies running around in circles? after that, some fairfield student came by and the terrier once again began its chase... the student was only saved by the pup's owner... after that, the other groups came back from their frisbee game adn was getting ready for their PT... only that their PT was more than a little slack than ours... we had to do sets and run 2 rounds before heading for the obstacle course but they only had to run one round before that... after thath, we ate(white rice with potato wedges, hotdog, luncheon meat, fried chicken)... no veggies... very unhealthy... left most of the rice in the box when i threw it into the bin... then had to go back... lucky for them they booked the bus... otherwise they would have had more casualties than they could carry......

i hate my home economics teacher... too!

i just hate my home economics teacher... every lesson we see her, she scolds us at least once... i won't bother with the figures... i wont bother much except to vent my anger!!! last week... we were doing some revision lessons... which is to bake cakes... once we entered the kitchen, hse told us to on the oven to 200 degrees. we went around asking each other which one was for the oven... there she scolded us... 'you all have done this before. this is a revision lesson and i have to scold you. how to on the oven you all also don't know.' ok! so what if we didnt know... big fat hairy deal! we did the cakes at around 5 months ago...! revision lesson... what does she think we'll learn when she rushes us in cooking and sets us off in 'missions' that seem to fail if we take a longer time than permitted. heck, man. we don't even catch half of the instructions! she prepares the ingredients for us and doesn't tell us the recipe... she expects us to check the textbook... some of the recipes are not even there! hello? and at the start of the term i thought home economics teachers were supposed to be sweet like cake... but here she is... hot like the oven... if it was geography, i would have said hot like volcano... but its home ecs... one thing im thankful about home ecs... although i don't really learn anything, i'm glad that i only have to see her for this year... for another 2-3 months! but who knows what will happen...

i hate the maths teacher!!!

waliew... i hate the stupid maths teacher leh! (as mentioned in the title) he says,' i give you this 2 periods to do the questions,' then after 2 minutes, he says,' i'll give you the answers on the board.' waht is the meaning of this? giving us the answer before we have a chance to try and question ourselves if we can solve the problem by ourselves? is it because he's just so self-concious that he thinks that we will laugh at him if he let us do without giving us the answer as 'proof' that he know the answer? or is he mad? or is he just a plain failure at being a teacher? did he really pass the trianee 'training' or did he just put up a show and is not showing is true spots? why did the principal even let him teach in the school? is he so impatient that he can't wait for us students to finish before he gets on with his giving out of answers? the week before the maths common test... my friend asked him when he was beginning a new chapter that wasn't at all tested in the maths common test, 'why don't you give us revision lessons instead of teaching us something that isn't tested in the common test?' know what he replied? 'you have to revise on your own, this is tested in the end-of-year exams too,' how enthusiastic he sounded. i just wish i dont ever get this teacher in my later years in nan hua...

stupid geography teacher...!

wah! geog results got back... A2... hmmm not bad... ok... go through... 2nd last question... NOT ALL RIVERS HAVE DELTAS. EXPLAIN WHY THIS IS SO. my answer: SOME RIVERS DO NOT CARRY A LOT OF SEDIMENTS, THUS THE RIVERS DO NOT HAVE TO FIND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES AS THEIR FLOW IS NOT BLOCKED BY HUGE AMOUNTS OF SEDIMENTS. THEY ALSO HAVE FAST-FLOWING WATER WHICH CARRIES THE SEDIMENTS AWAY BEFORE THE SEDIMENTS CAN BUILD UP AND OBSTRUCT THE WAY. her answer: THS RIVERS' MOUTHS MAY BE SHALLOW AND THE RIVERS MAY HAVE STRONG WATER AND CURRENTS ALONG THE COAST. THE RIVER MAY NOT CARRY TOO MUCH SEDIMENTS TO BUILD UP A DELTA. ok... so the fast-flowing water isn;t quite so correct... but i wrote 'did not carry a lot of sediments' compare to hers which is 'may not carry too much sediments' anything wrong? upon 3 marks i only got... 0 marks... nil... zilch... none... how could she???! not like i didn't go and find her... she pointed at the phrase 'huge amounts of sediments' and said, 'go and check your notes! it is obviously wrong!' in what way was that wrong???! huh???! Stupid!!!
